Quotes of Endorsement (See what people are saying about Nicholas Zimmerman)

QUOTES of Endorsement

“I want to read your book. I’m eager to learn facts of your care in great detail. I’m not going to lie to you, Nicholas. I saw the article about the prison break from Sing Sing  that you’re accused of. It made me have second thoughts for a little bit. I trust you, though. In addition, I really want to work with you because I believe in what you’re trying to do. It’s not just about the money, either… So, in terms of business, I would like to invest some money back into M.A.E.G. I’d like to become a partner with you in this business because I think our vision of the future is the same… I’d like more responsibility in the business…and I want to make a lot of money of course… You mentioned in your first letter that you want M.A.E.G to focus on promoting the creative works of prisoners…(but) I’d like to know just how many products you have for sale? (Because) if you’re gonna focus on the creative works of prisoners, you’re gonna have to get into publishing, (because) that’s what M.A.E.G. will be anyway, essentially… I also think you should look for an Entertainment lawyer, Nick. I don’t know what king of legal representation you have right now, but from the way it looks, you could be the next Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, since he was railroaded through the system too. If you’re not working on getting your book optioned to a film studio, you should be, because that could bring in a great deal of money for you. Your story has “movie” and “TV-movie” written all over it… Those are just some of my ideas for how M.A.E.G. should expand. Right now, I think your hardest task is finding right people who will work with you while you’re in prison. The way it looks, if you weren’t in prison, you’d probably be a millionaire by now. You have great ideas. Finding the right people, though, is the toughest part. Like I said, though I believe in what you’re doing and I’d like to be a partner in the future. I think you should consider the suggestions I made on how to grow M.A.E.G.”
-June 30th, 2014, Christopher Haydu, author of The New King of Jones Town, which is a really weird book, but Chris is a dangerously intelligent businessman, nonetheless.

“Liz Rodriguez of LPJ & Associates referred me to you. She says you’re need of a Virtual Assistant. I have gone through all the details you gave Liz and I would love to take on your assignment. I have been a Virtual Assistant for 7 years now and I am also a Human Resource Professional. I am up to the assignment so I have no problem getting this done for you. I can also keep updating the website for you since I also have website design and maintenance skills. Looking forward to being part of the campaign to get you freed.”
-April 29th, 2014, Paula Kyabaggu; Mukama, Paulette Animation World.

“We want you home by 2016 the latest! But we need to come up with a solid game plan. Five Mualimmak and Fury Young are on board. Seems like those C.O.’s at Clinton are trying to get caught up in the Attica Conspiracy. I know they are giving you are hard time so I’m gonna stop by I.G.’s office in Albany and see what can be done? All they need to do is do their jobs! If yall aren’t harming each other or anyone then their job is done! Work 8-12 hrs and go home. Simple! I don’t understand why they get so personal?? All most of you guys try to do is prove your innocence and if you’re guilty, get time cuts. That is your RIGHT! So why stop you? Anyway, keep fighting the good fight and know that my office is literally right around the corner from DOCC's main office in Albany, NY.”
-Desiray Smith, Executive Director of the F.O.C.I.S Movement and Madison Avenue Entertainment Group, July 27th, 2014.

“I want you to know that I really cherish every letter and card that you send me. It makes me feel loved and important and I am very thankful to have you as a friend. It feels really nice to have something good to look forward to. I want you to know that I read your mail as soon as I get it. I’ll stop by the mailbox around 3 in the evening and thankfully when I do get mail from you, I’ll open it and read it on the way back to my apartment. You never cease to bring a smile to my face and for that, I am really thankful. I count my blessings and trust me, our friendship is one of them. Also, you have the best handwriting EVER! Seriously. I really like it. If I sent you a template to fill out, would you do it so that I could make your handwriting into a (typing) font?”
Mackenzie Kelly, Model – Actress – Aerobic Instructor, July 25th, 2014.

“I found the ad that your friend posted online, and I would be honored to have the opportunity to work for you. I am just horrified at what has happened to you, and I would love to help you in any way I can… I am extremely dedicated to causes I care about and stories like yours just break my heart. It would be an incredible privilege to help you prove your innocence and gain your freedom. Your dedication to telling the truth and continuing to fight this horrible system is truly inspiring, and I would be so grateful for the opportunity to be of assistance to you. I have attached my resume, and I would love to hear back from you! Please stay strong and know that you’re not alone in this fight.” ----Sammi Feidman, Kiddz 4 Kidzz Inc., August 8th, 2014.

Man, I gotta say I got mad respect for you and your discipline and great coping methods in SHU. You are focused brother! That’s awesome. You inspire me. May I ask what your next book is about? Sounds interesting! Guess what? – I sold “You Are Solitary Confinement” for xxxx and I am sending you xx% of the profit because you inspired the piece and I used excerpts of your price of the same title. Congratulations – our work is making a difference. An older friend of mine bought it. He’s a Professor at Borough of Manhattan Community College. He teaches history and he loves the project. He taught Assatta Shakur in the 70’s! His name is Tony Gronowicz and he ran for NYC Mayor in the Green Party last year and came in 4th!” Fury Young converted Nicholas’ poem “You Are Solitary Confinement” into an art piece and displayed it at the Arts in Bushwick gallery in August 2014.

“By the way, I did ask about you to an old friend of mine at Sing Sing and was told that folks thought you were a good guy… So I certainly make no judgement of you despite what others have said about you in the past (to be attacked by Jeanine Pirro may be considered a badge of honor!)”
-Susan V. Tipograph, Attorney at Law, October 21st, 2005

We are writing to you because there is a reporter who is interested in doing a major news piece on solitary confinement and its impact on people in solitary and their family members. This reporter is looking to base the piece on the experience of one person who is currently in solitary and his family members. We are reaching out to you… to see if you might be interested in speaking with this reporter and being featured in this story. The reporter is currently in the initial stage of developing the story and has plans to pitch the story once it is more fully formed to major news outlets, such as New York Magazine, where he has been featured in the past.”
-Jack Beck, Director of the Correctional Association of New York, October 17th, 2014

“How are you? We have been grateful to have been receiving updated from your mother about how you’re doing. We last spoke to her last week and she indicated she had recently visited you. We wanted to check in with you to see how you are doing and how things in the SHU at Clinton’ have been? We’re also writing because we are putting together a collection of stories we are calling “Voices From Attica”. We are aiming to create “Voices From Attica” as a platform for people who have been incarcerated at Attica to let members of the public know about what happens behind the wall. We were wondering if you would be interested in having a “Voices From Attica” story based on some of the information you provided.”
-Scott Paltrowitz, Director of the Correctional Association of New York, August 20th,
2014

“At some events and hearings, but not all, people will read writings from people who are incarcerated. Actually just yesterday your mother came with us and did an incredible job speaking before a hearing of the New York State Assembly. She was an incredibly powerful advocate on your behalf and on behalf of others who are in prison and in solitary confinement.”
-Scott Paltrowitz, Director of the Correctional Association of New York, November 14th, 2014.

“I’m very interested in working as a typist for you. I feel very strongly that America’s prison system of then disenfranchise individuals. I’m a writer, not a legal professional. I am interested in helping human beings tell their story. People incarcerated in prison are often silenced, and I want to help break that silence and act as an advocate. I also have extensive knowledge creating and managing social media pages for individuals and non-profit campaigns. I would be happy to do that for you as well.”
-Lydia, Barnesveld N.Y., November 12th, 2014.

“This is Tim Murphy, the journalist in NYC that Scott Paltrowitz at CANY told you about. I would very much like to try to do a story on solitary confinement – for which paper yet, I am not exactly sure, though I wrote most frequently for the N.Y. Times and N.Y. magazine. Scott told me about your situation. It sound very difficult and I hope you are hanging in there… I think once I’ve established correspondence with you I will be able to pitch this story to an editor and hopefully get it going. This is an issue I care about and I would like to make this story happen… Would you be open to my visiting with you to talk for this story if I can get the green light?”
-Tim Murphy, Journalist for the N.Y. Times, November 10th, 2014.

“I would love to be the Executive Director of M.A.E.G.! Thank you so much for that opportunity… Just to give you an update, I have been posting ads on Craglist and comparable sited to find people to sell your book. I have received quite a few responses from people who are interested in selling”.

“This is in response to your recent Craiglist post seeking an assistant. Some materials, including my resume, are here attached for your review. “I am in a position to provide you with Professional Typing Assistance I am enclosing a sample of a report I wrote for the Court so that you can see that I am both a writer and editor. I have been writing reports for the Courts since 1996. I am multi-talented and not in the least concerned with interfacing with incarcerated men and women. I have been to Riker’s Island many times, to create Alternative to Incarceration Plans so that the Judges don’t leave non-violent inmates – or anyone who does not belong there, for one reason or another – behind bars indefinitely. I am more than happy to help you. Please communicate with me as to the next steps of our work together.”

I would wish you a Happy New Year, but cannot imagine what a Happy New Year would look like at Clinton Correctional Facility, so I will only say that I hope that 2015 sees you out and back into the community, where you belong.”
-Lia Brigante, Forensic Social Worker – Typist – Editor – Court Assistant, December 28th, 2014.

I think what you are doing is pretty cool, and I would like to be a part of it… I recently just graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC. And I have a lot of free time and would not mind helping you and others… After reading your letter and considering your proposal, I wanted to let you know I am interested in helping you. If you are still looking for an Executive Director and/or need assistance with social media work, I am willing to perform those tasks for you. If you have already found someone for these positions, let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.”

August 14th, 2002

Associates. April 15th, 2008

“It has been a pleasure to work with you and I wish you the best. It is unfortunate that the final result was not what you were hoping for, but you should feel proud of pursuing the matter as far and as successfully as you did.” Benjamin M. Friedman, Esq of Greenberg Trourig LLP. August 26th 2011.
“It was nice meting you beloved brother, even knowing we started off on a bad foot. But from the things I heard you talk to the brothers about, you are of a kind, a strong black brother who is standing for something. And not only that; you are doing what a lot of people are not willing to do, and that’s stand up to these people here, understand me? The way you are about business show me who you are. To all you uplift, beloved blessings!” Charles “Penthouse” Williams, February 2015.

St. Onge, FreeBird Publishers, September 9th 2013.

“I reviewed the correspondence you sent me on January 27th, 2015 and have looked at your website and have read Judge Ross’s decision. To say the least, I found the courts analysis totally unpersuasive. I thought you made a strong case for ineffectiveness of counsel and should have been granted a hearing on that issue and actual innocence… I will buy you book and I continue to wish you good fortune in your efforts and hope for the best!” Myron Beldock Esq of Beldock, Levine & Hoffman, February 26th, 2015.

“Mr. Zimmerman, you’re a very bright person. You’re probably bordering on genius and while you may have been running businesses in the past, it seems that your genius has been misdirected.” Supreme Court Judge, Roger R. Rossengarten, January 17th 2002

“(He comes before this court wearing the cloak of a pro-se applicant, and seeks to extract from us the solicitude ordinarily afforded one appearing without counsel. But this should not shield him from rebuke when merited. He is an intelligent, able and sophisticated litigant, who is no stronger to this court, having appeared frequently in his own behalf both in the District Court and the Court of Appeals. We would expect that one possessed of his background would be conscious of the outer limits of forceful advocacy and fully aware when his acts transgress those limits…) Nicholas Zimmerman has filed at least six other federal or State actions or appeals. One of which has already been resolved in his favor (by settlement). Not surprisingly, his filings in the instant action have been quite good, always being well organized and almost always being supported by exhibits and/or declarations. However, after thoroughly considering the matter, I find that Plaintiffs litigation experience is not sufficiently extensive to warrant the revocation of his special status as a pro-se litigant. Plaintiff is cautioned, however, that he is fast becoming more a pro(fessional) litigant than a pro-se litigant.” United States Magistrate Judge, George H. Lowe, citing Raiport V. Chemical Bank 74 F.R.D 128 when attempting to strip Zimmerman of his special pro-se status and hold him to the standards of a lawyer, September 28th 2007.

"I'm definitely interested in your movement. How do I keep track? And no lie Black, everything you showed me got me thinking so differently. I'm trying to make my grandma proud of me seriously, and by keeping in touch with you, I really hope to accomplish that. Send me enough info so we won't lose contact and so I can use your services with the book also." Gilberto (Chuck) Vicente, September 12th 2015, Clinton S.H.U.

"I hope all is well in this physically stagnant situation that only the mentally strong will overcome. I don't want to seem nosey, but I heard that you are a businessman and possess the ability to help less fortunate individuals with your business ventures. I don't really know the details and I would like to inquire into what you've formulated successfully. I heard you mention college tours and the need for individuals to help "set up shop" to further output your movement. Well, if I may infringe on assisting you in your productive movement, let me know what assistance you need and how I can help you? You're in a position to help people and their families and I commend you for that. After I sat back and analyzed things, I came to the realization that you got the ability to help my people and which could, in the future, change my warped stagnant philosophies." Caleb "Knuckles" Springer, April 1st 2016, Clinton S.H.U.

"Peace Beloved! Ya whole set up is official, thats whats up, for real! I hope that you have a release date tho, because with your intellectual mentality you are a crowd mover and influential person, doggz. Ima holla at my sister and tell her to put Momma Love and my joint down in Tennessee down with The Movement! My uncle got a book store and that would be a great place to push the product, as it is a busy place. I got a lot of poems, but more like speeches that I wish I could have showed you. It would have changed your whole outlook on my mentality. They are real life struggle poems, but inspirational as well. I will have my whole support system and associates plug into The Movement to further spread the cause and with your vision, success is inevitable. You got the tagz and I took down your info to stay in contact with you." Caleb "Knuckles" Springer after reading "The Brand Ambassadors Proposal" and "Building The Website For MAEG Proposal", April 2nd 2016, Clinton S.H.U.

"Dear Mr. Zimmerman,
Indigo Films produces a popular television show called 'I (Almost) Got Away With It' for the Investigation Discovery Channel. The series profiles fugitives as they attempt to evade law enforcement. We are now in production of the eighth season of the series and we are looking for stories to include in the show. We came across a story on the Internet about your attempted escape and I am writing to you because I would like to learn more details to see if it would be a good fit for the show.

The goal of the series is to shed light on what the life of a fugitive is actually like, and I am interested in hearing more about initial crimes and if you were a fugitive before your 2003 attempted prison escape with Inmate Steven Finley. If you are interested in participating, we will ultimately try to set up an on-camera interview and feature you in one of the hour-long episode of the show.
If this show sounds like something you might be interested in doing, please write to me as soon as possible to let me know. There are still many steps to go through before an on-camera interview can occur, but a necessary first step is getting in touch with you and finding out if you are interested in participating.
If you are not interested, we'd like to know that as well so we do not send any follow up mail.
In your letter, please give me some initial details about your initial crime and your time on the run. If you are interested in participating, I will be sending you another letter with more detailed questions. Also feel free to send any questions or concerns that you may have so that we can try to address them." Nicki Smith, Associate Producer of Indigo Films, November 6th, 2015.

What's up Bro,
I've been pondering this idea for a minute. I mean, I know we really don't know one another but I've been paying attention to a lot of your conversation. Not really the Gate Banging but the building intellectual aspect. I'm an aspiring entrepreneur. I'm currently part of a Marketing Firm (No Bullshit) but my aspirations go way beyond just that. As I listen to some of your accomplishments and I respect them, I can tell that shyt is bigger on your side than you let on. Can I have your info so I can keep in contact and I understand your predicament, well at least from what I heard. I'm kind of LOOPY, meaning my people is in politics and other places as well. I am all for the revolution. I may not be as knowledgeable as yall brothers, but I'm willing to learn. Being in the world of marketing and networking they have a saying; make a friend, make a fortune." John "Menace" Chambers after meeting Nicholas in Clinton's S.H.U, July 2016
